Import Clearance Process

Important Notes
  • IEC Code: Must be valid and active. Renewal required every 5 years.
  • Bill of Entry: Must be filed within 30 days of cargo arrival, or demurrage charges apply.
  • Duty Payment: Can be paid through ICEGATE portal or authorized banks.
  • Product-Specific: Some items require additional licenses (BIS, FSSAI, WPC, etc.).
  • GST: IGST (Integrated GST) applies on imports in addition to customs duty.

  • Incorrect HS Code classification
